4 Best Ways to get to Disney from Orlando airport!
These are the 4 basic transportation methods to get you to your Disney hotel from Orlando airport!
- Rental car
- Uber/Taxi/Private car service
- Sunshine Flyer
- Mears
Rental Car
Rental car-You can rent a car right there at the airport and drive yourself into Disney. This is a good option if you plan to visit any parks or areas outside of Disney, or just like the freedom to go at your own pace on your time schedule. There are several companies that offer car rentals. This can get costly if you need to add extras like car seats, GPS, etc.
Uber/Taxi/Private Car Service
Uber/Taxi/Private car service-These are very convenient and more private methods of transportation to Disney from Orlando airport. Uber and Taxi availability is based on demand at the time of travel, and can’t be booked ahead of time. Tipping these drivers is customary.
You can book a private car service ahead of time, and ask for a grocery stop to be added in to your pick-up. There are many of these companies available. We have used Happy Limo many times, and have never had an issue. You have your own private vehicle with driver to travel to and from your hotel with an optional 30-minute grocery stop. I highly recommend Happy Limo!!
Sunshine Flyer
Sunshine Flyer-There are 10 different motorcoach themes. The driver wears a conductor uniform, and loads your bags beneath the motorcoach. Tipping the driver is customary.
This is a newer company, and I have not personally used them for travel. They are very comparable to Mears service as far as reviews and pricing. It’s a personal preference as to which you choose.
Mears
Mears-Mears is the same type of motorcoach as Sunshine Flyer, but without the theming. They have been around for many years, and were the originally the Magical Express before Disney stopped this service. The driver will load your bags under the motorcoach, and tipping the driver is customary.
Mears offers cars, limos, motorcoaches, and shuttle services depending on the size of your party. I have not used Mears except when they were running the Magical Express. At that time the drivers were always professional and on time, and the motorcoaches were clean.
