There are still Covid-19 restrictions currently affecting how and which Disney World tickets are sold. If you’re looking for ticket information for Disney World in Orlando, Florida, then you’ve come to the right place! In this post I am going to explain all of the types of park tickets available for Disney World. Always buy your tickets from an Authorized Seller. This post does not discuss the annual pass, or special event tickets.

What is an Authorized Walt Disney World ticket seller?

Regardless of where you buy your park tickets you must make sure you are purchasing them from an Authorized Seller. An authorized seller has Disney’s approval to sell authentic tickets. There are a lot of scams on the internet, and I did a lot of research before deciding where to purchase my park tickets.

What Disney ticket options are available?

Choose between three different types of tickets when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort: Base Tickets, Park Hopper Option Tickets and Park Hopper with Plus Option Tickets. All Disney tickets may be added to My Disney Experience and MagicBands. Adult ticket prices are for ages 10+. Children’s tickets are for ages 3-9, and will only be about $5.00 less than the adult price per day. Note: Florida residents sometimes get special discounts on ticket prices.

Tip: IMPORTANT: As of March 2021 you must still check your date/park via the Disney Park Pass Reservation BEFORE purchasing tickets. Then you must reserve the date/park to avoid issues at the gate.

Disney World Base tickets:

  • Standard theme park ticket: Currently $109
  • Only visit 1 theme park per day. (Choose either Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios)
  • Choose between 1-10 day ticket.
  • You pay less per day the more days you buy. Example: If a 1-day ticket is $109, then a 5-day ticket might be $88 per day/per person.
  • Option to add-on Park Hopper and/or Water Parks

What is a Disney World Park Hopper ticket upgrade?

  • A Park Hopper upgrade allows you to visit more than 1 park each day.
  • Add about $88 to the base ticket price per person per weekday for this upgrade. (Weekends: add about $92 if visiting on a Saturday, and $96 if visiting on a Sunday.) Example: $109+$92=$201 for a Saturday visit.
  • Currently, the 2nd park cannot be entered until after 2pm. Availability is based on park capacity . (This is due to Covid-19 restrictions.)
  • A reservation is only needed for the first park. (This is due to Covid-19 restrictions.)
  • Reservation requirements are subject to change.

What is the Water Park and Sports option?

  • Visit 1 park per day, plus a choose either a water park (Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon), OR the NBA Experience, Disney’s Golf Course, or ESPN Complex. Note: ESPN Complex and Typhoon Lagoon are currently closed.
  • Add about $93 to base ticket price per person, per weekday. (Weekends: add $97 to base ticket if visiting on a Saturday, and $101 if visiting on a Sunday.) Example: $109+$97=$206.00 per person on a Saturday.

What is a Disney World Park Hopper PLUS option?

  • Visit more than 1 park per day, plus choose 1 experience from the ‘Water Park and Sports’ option listed above.
  • You must make a reservation for the first park using the reservation system.
  • The 2nd park may be entered after 2 pm, but you do not need to make a reservation for this park entrance. Entrance is dependent upon park capacity due to current Covid-19 restrictions.
  • Add about $108 to base ticket price per person per weekday. (Weekends: add $112 to base ticket if visiting on a Saturday, and $116 if visiting on a Sunday.) Example: $109+$112=$221.00 per person on a Saturday.

What is the cheapest month to go to Disney World?

The cheapest time to go to Disney World is during off-peak times, but this is always the opposite of kid’s school schedule. Consult a ‘crowd calendar’ for specific crowd level predictions when planning. Ticket prices do fluctuate depending on the day of the week, and month of the year.

  • September has the lowest crowds, but this is because kids have recently returned to school! It’s not the ideal time for kids to miss school during those first few weeks. It is also hurricane season. This is a great time for an adults-only trip to enjoy the low crowds.
  • December is off-peak in those first couple of weeks, but I’d personally avoid Disney in December due to increasing crowd levels.
  • January/End of February is also off-peak. I noticed that Disney tends to do a lot of ride/attraction refurbishments during this time period.
  • May is considered off-peak, but only the first couple of weeks.
